I'd add that in addition to reading lots of poetry and imitating poetry, take the time to just copy out poems. Writing them out by hand is a very helpful exercise for reading closely and for getting those rhythms and sounds more thoroughly into your head.
I especially loved Olivia's childhood story about hearing Tennyson, Shakespeare, Donne and Herbert read by her mother, and Joffre's advice for aspiring poets. Thanks for sharing this!
Love it—though I'd say for every Eliot there are a million untutored wannabes. The legacy has not been generations of proficient imitators. Still, great reminders, admonitions, and working definitions. A rewarding listen!
Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation.

But there's Sam Downey-Higgins, so we've got at least one Eliot heir going strong. Thanks for listening!
Great conversation and thoughts! Really enjoyed it.
Thank you!
